Aneesha Marwah

Manager, Consulting and Strategic Partnerships

Aneesha Marwah joined Artspace’s Consulting and Strategic Partnerships team in June 2017. She moved to Minneapolis from Chicago, Illinois where she worked for Goodman Williams Group, a real estate research firm. Major projects she has worked on include transit-oriented development projects for Chicago area suburban Metra stations, a Downtown Master Plan for the Village of Winnetka, a study of industrial uses of the Chicago River, a market study for an off-campus mixed-use development near the University of Notre Dame, and a market study for the former Motorola Solutions Campus in Schaumburg, IL. Aneesha earned her Masters of Urban Planning and Policy with a concentration in Economic Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

Prior to moving to Chicago, Aneesha lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for nine years where she attended Tulane University and was the Legislative Aide to State Representative Jared Brossett. The position gave her valuable insight into the relationship between politics and urban planning. It also furthered her interest in affordable housing policy and using art as a tool for economic development. She’s excited to be on the consulting team at Artspace and assist communities around the country create affordable spaces for artists.

Aneesha spent her childhood in Saudi Arabia, and her love for travel and learning about new communities has not waned. When she is not at Artspace you can find her playing with her puppy, Paws; exploring all the amazing bike trails in the Twin Cities; or drinking a beer at one of the many North Loop breweries.
