I don't know exactly when I fell in love with photography, but I do remember when photography first broke my heart and when I chose to fall back in love with it.

I could go on and on about how many times my family moved across the country and how my childhood views were scaled to a frame from a young age – but the truth is that – it’s just within me, somehow, someway. It feels like breathing, it's effortless.

My most trusting yet deceiving relationship is with photography. The art, magic, and the immense fear of what lies within, including what that implies for myself as an artist.

I feel bits and pieces of every photograph I take. I pour my entire being into the perfect angle, the perfect timing, only to discover that "perfect moments" never exist. Instead, I create them through visionary impulses. Living at Artspace Buffalo Lofts has inspired me in more ways than I can speak of. Between my own space and the people I share the building with, creativity spreads far and wide. I feel lucky every single day.
